About Us

Here’s some information that you might want to know …

INSURANCE

We accept Medicaid, CHIP, CSHCN, most private insurances and private pay. Please call our office to confirm if we are in network with your insurance. We will gladly bill your insurance for you, but co-pays and deductibles required by your insurance contract are due at the time of service. We expect you to bring your insurance card every time you go to our office.

Please notify us of any changes in address, phone numbers, insurance coverage or responsible party. This enables our office to provide prompt, accurate service to you.

APPOINTMENTS

We do not take same-day appointments. That means that an appointment should be called in a day in advance. If your child is sick and needs to be seen that same day, we will take that patient as a walk-in. No appointments are scheduled on Mondays due to a large volume of sick visits on this day. We request that you schedule well-child visits and immunizations later in the week. Please bring your child's shot record with you to all well-child visits. This will help us determine if he or she is up to date on all immunizations.

If you need to cancel an appointment, we request that you give a notice of at least 24 hours. This will help us to meet the needs of our other patients.

Late Policy:
If you are more than 20 minutes late for your appointment time, you may be asked to reschedule the appointment or wait until those who did arrive on time have been seen. We understand that sometimes being late is unavoidable (we are sometimes running behind ourselves). Nevertheless, being late may mean you have to wait longer to be seen and you will be considered a walk-in.

Walk-ins are welcome but appointments are appreciated!

pillsPRESCRIPTION REFILLS

Most prescription refills, if requested prior to 5 p.m., can be handled on the day requested. Please make sure you know the name of the medicine, the dose, the form (liquid or tablet), the date of the last refill and the name and number of your pharmacy. A nurse or a physician may call you to discuss the refill if the patient has not been seen for regular checkups or if the prescription needs to be adjusted.

PHONE CALLS

Our nursing staff is available Monday through Friday to answer baby care questions, medication questions or to help you decide if your child needs to be seen by a physician. For a complicated problem, please schedule an appointment. The advice we can give on the phone is limited to our established patients only.

HOSPITAL ADMISSION

If your child is ill and hospital admission is needed, the doctor will make arrangements with a pediatric hospitalist for admission to a hospital in the area.
